It All Began In 1974…

The company was started by Mr. Au Yong Kon She as Au Yong Electrical Engineering on September 30 1974. For the period of 10 years (1974 to 1983) the company undertook numerous Low Voltage (L.V) and Medium Voltage (M.V) electrical jobs for both the government, semi-government and private sectors.

Acquired a Class 1, registration with the Jabatan Kerja Raya, Semenanjung Malaysia on the 19th November 1982. The company was incorporated on July 9, 1983 as LUQMAN AU YONG SDN. BHD. (LAYSB) with Bumiputera participation in line with government policy. Under LAYSB, the company was registered with P.K.K as Class 1 Electrical Contractor with Bumiputera Status and have successfully completed numerous government, quasi government and private projects all over the country.

The strength of the company grew as the company established itself to be specialized in Full Range of Electrical Works which further includes High Tension (H.T) works, Extra Low Voltage (E.L.V) works, Telecommunications and ICT works. On 11th April 2000, the company name has been changed to KAY CORPORATION SDN. BHD.

Datuk HJ. Mustapha Bin Yaakub ( Chairman )
Malaysian, aged 61 was appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company on November 2005. He graduated from University Malaya in 1974 with bachelor (hons) in Islamic studies. He spent his early career in Government service and Government Link Companies (GLC). Firstly, he was Malayan Banking Berhad from 1974 to 1979. He left MBB and joined Perbadanan Kemajuan Pelancongan Malaysia in 1980 and then Lembaga Kemajuan Kelantan Selatan (KESEDAR) from 1981 to 1984. Shortly after that, he joined Talasco Berhad from 1985 to 1990.

He joined the Jabatan Perdana Menteri throughout 1998 and then the Kementerian Kewangan throughout 1999. After that, he was appointed Setiausaha Sulit Kanan Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan in January 2000.

Datuk HJ. Mustapha Bin Yaakub’s extensive corporate experience, executive and legislative experience at the state and federal level in the later years, as well as international experience in participating in International Conferences organized by United Nation, NAM and OIC has enabled him to lead and share his experience with the board.
Mr. Khairul Nizam Bin Mokhtar ( Managing Director )
Malaysian, aged 40 was involved in the local electrical engineering industry for the past 18 years. He greaduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia with Bachelor of Business in Management and has been actively involved in the industry since then. He is instrumental in costing, planning, liaisons with authorities, supervisions, testing and commissioning and project managements of electrical engineering projects for the company.
Mr. Ramlan Bin Baharom ( Executive Director )
Malaysian, aged 47 joined KAYCORP on May 1991 as an administrative and technical staff. He was involved in office administration and project management of the company for the past 20 years. He graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) with bachelor in economics. He is technically well equipped, also responsible to handle tendering and project management of L.V & H.T electrical works. He was appointed as director of the company on august 1994. He has adequate experience and is currently leading the company in the tendering department, procurement department, human resource department and also the office administrative management which comply with the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
Mr. Au Yong Kon She ( Executive Director )
Malaysian, aged 59 founded KAYCORP on 9th of July 1983 and has been its executive director since its inception. He dealt in the electrical engineering line for the last 40 years and has vast experience in both L.V & H.T electrical installations. He is responsible for the procurement of projects, financial planning of the company, growth and ongoing development of the company’s business. He is technically well equipped to handle all scope of works in the full range of electrical services.

He holds directorships in several associated companies and has good co-ordinations with both the private and public sectors. He decides on the direction which the company will head towards.
